Kirkfield & District Historical Society Museum
Add to itinerary
The Kirkfield & District Historical Society promotes the rich history within and including the areas around the Village of Kirkfield. The Society wishes to stimulate an interest in the past, with artifacts, folklore and social history, and to encourage the preservation of historical, archaeological and architectural heritage within those archives for future generations. In 2009, the Society received permission from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church to use the back of their sanctuary for museum displays. The St. Andrew's congregation was officially dissolved in October,2010 and the magnificent historical edifice was transferred to the Society as a museum. Featuring stained glass windows, the former sanctuary is now used as a performance space. The rest of the building is dedicated to museum exhibition space.
